Cynthia Goodwin (she/her)

Cynthia has 25 years’ experience as a leader of teams and a specialist in strategic communications planning, corporate social responsibility, marketing, stakeholder engagement, media relations, issues and crisis management – and getting things done.

Before founding CCGoodwin Consulting, Cynthia was President of a regional, award-winning marketing communications firm, at a time of unprecedented growth for the agency’s family of companies.

Over the course of Cynthia’s nearly 10-year agency career, her clients included world-class corporations and national associations, to small businesses and non-profit organizations. Her sector experience includes energy, advanced manufacturing, cannabis, media, aquaculture, healthcare, post-secondary education, information technology, economic development, tourism and hospitality, lottery and gaming, government and more.

 

Cynthia has led marketing communications teams for both the University of New Brunswick and Mount Allison University. She played a senior role in public affairs, CSR and government relations for Irving Oil Limited, building stakeholder approval through values-based planning and communications.

 

Cynthia spent nearly 10 years leading corporate communications and social responsibility at the Atlantic Lottery Corporation, where she developed and delivered its first-ever Responsible Use strategy. 

 

In the community, Cynthia helped found the Global Cannabis Partnership, which is developing social responsibility standards for the cannabis industry worldwide. She currently serves as Board Chair of Envision Saint John: The Regional Growth Agency and a Board Director of the United Way Saint John, Kings, and Charlotte.

 

Cynthia holds a Bachelor of Journalism (Highest Honours in Journalism and Law) from Carleton University, Ottawa.
